As Illinois’ first tufting workshop, we’ve turned crafting into a thrilling adventure located in Aurora, IL, where creativity knows no bounds. Our journey began with a spark of curiosity that soon ignited a flaming passion for hand-tufted rugs.
We envisioned a place where creativity would flow freely, and individuals could embrace their inner artists. And so, Tuft A Rug was born – a sanctuary of imagination and a celebration of life’s kaleidoscope.

Refund Policy Tufting Workshop Stations
ALL SALES FINAL- If, for some reason, you can’t make your original scheduled time and would like to reschedule for another date, email contact.tuftarug@gmail.com with a 72-hour notice of the original time.
Late Policy
Rebooking to the same day is not guaranteed. You may contact us @Contact.tuftaug@gmail.com to rebook your workshop. (Please note we do not rebook workshops to Saturday or Sunday with out a 72 hour notice).
Time Frame Extension
Each workshop has an allotted timeframe, going over your time frame will result in an additional charge.
We will add 30 minutes of time if needed at a rate of $15 per 30 minutes. ( please note any time over 10 minutes will automatically add 30 minutes)
Group Workshops
ALL SALES FINAL- If for some reason you can’t make your original scheduled time and would like to reschedule for another date, email contact.tuftarug@gmail.com with a 7-day notice of the original time.
Frames that are already traced will be an additional $15 per frame if the group does rebook. We do this as the frames will no longer be used for the scheduled time and material will be waisted.

Absolutely not! Our workshops are designed to be beginner-friendly and cater to all skill levels. Our skilled instructors will guide you through the entire process, making sure you have a delightful and successful tufting experience.
3. What Age Groups Can Participate?
Our 18″ x 18″ Tufting Workshop is open to ages 10 and above, while the 35″ x 32″ Tufting Workshop is ideal for ages 15 and above. We believe that creativity knows no age, and everyone can enjoy the joy of tufting.
4. How Long Do the Workshops Last?
The duration of our workshops varies based on the size of the rug you choose. The 18″ x 18″ workshop typically lasts 2-3 hours, while the 35″ x 32″ workshop spans 4-6 hours. Take your time to immerse yourself in the artistry and craft a rug you’ll cherish.
5. How do I get my design on the canvas? / What kind of images can I do?
We have projectors that will plug to your phone and project your image to the canvas allowing for an easy trace.
6. Can I Bring My Own Design?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your creativity to the table. Whether you have a specific design in mind or need some inspiration, our instructors will help you bring your visions to life.
7. Are Workshops Conducted in Groups or Individually?
Our workshops are designed for both individual participants and groups. You can enjoy the experience on your own or gather friends, family, or colleagues for a group tufting adventure.
8. Can I Purchase Additional Sessions or Gift a Workshop to Someone?
Absolutely! We offer the option to purchase additional sessions or gift a workshop to a loved one. Contact our team for more information on customizing your tufting experience.
9. How Do I Reserve My Spot for a Workshop?
Reserving your spot is easy! Simply head to our website and select the workshop date and time that suits you best. Hurry, as spaces fill up quickly!
10. How to Take Care of Your Rug
- For the longest-lasting results, place the rug in a low-traffic area.
- To remove stains spot treat your rug with water mixed with dish soap or mild detergent.
- Vacuum the rug regularly with a low-powered vacuum.
- Lint roll or clip any loose fibers, DO NOT pull.
- DO NOT machine wash or dry.
